I was born in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia 21 years ago. My work is about exploring my ethnicity, as well as issues of prejudice and discrimination through the lens of graphic design. I believe that design can be used as a cultural middle-ground, a meeting point that can help to encourage cross-cultural pollination, and foster an appreciation for difference. I'm inspired by traditional Arabic patterning & calligraphy, Russian Constructivism, Ancient Greek ceramic painting, and the simplicity of mid-century modern designers. After graduating I look forward to travel, time to cook, and enough money to buy the good coffee.
